FOREST Green Rovers has announced that Liam Noble has signed a new contract today that will keep him at The New Lawn until the summer of 2020.
The Newcastle born midfielder has penned a new deal after helping the club clinch promotion to the Football League last season.
Liam said: "I'm delighted, there was obviously a lot of speculation over the summer but I am a Forest Green player and happy to be here to go again for another few years.
"We won at Wembley and I wanted to stay. As soon as I spoke to the chairman and manager about a new deal it was a no brainer to stay because I think the club are going places"
A stand out performer throughout the campaign, the 26-year-old found the back of the net nine times and provided 24 assists.
Signed from Notts County in June 2016, where he had spent two seasons prior to his move to Gloucestershire, he is set to play a leading role in FGR’s debut season in League Two this term.
He’s gathered useful Football League experience, which played a part in helping the club defeat Tranmere Rovers at Wembley in May, and has now committed himself to a further three seasons at FGR – he already had a season to run on the deal he originally signed.
It has also been confirmed that Noble will wear the number eight jersey for Forest Green this season.
