FORMER South Gloucestershire and Stroud student and Bristol Academy of Sport cricketer George Driscoll has played his first professional match for Gloucestershire.
The game, against Northamptonshire, took place last week and was a game to remember for the 18-year-old.
Driscoll said: "To be informed that I would make my debut against Northamptonshire was a dream come true. I have worked hard at my game as part of the SGS Cricket Academy and Gloucestershire age group squads."
Simon Hinks, SGS Cricket Academy head coach, said: "It is a pleasure to work with George as he is hard working and humble in his approach.
"At 18, he has many years in professional cricket ahead of him."
