FOREST GREEN captain Liam Noble insists fans need to vent their spleen towards him instead of Charlie Cooper.
A clearly emotional Noble was annoyed with the reaction of a section of the support, who cheered the second-half substitution of Cooper on a day when Rovers slipped to a third consecutive League Two defeat, capitulating 3-1 against early season leaders Exeter City.
"I'm going to come for the fans," said Noble. "Don't boo and cheer Charlie Cooper off the pitch, totally embarrassing and I'm raging. Three month ago the fans were cheering him at Wembley.
"I'm the captain, so come and see me, boo me instead, but don't boo a 20-year-old lad.
Watch Noble give an emotionally charged post-match interview to sports editor Ashley Loveridge.
