GLOUCESTERSHIRE'S double centurion Cameron Bancroft will be leaving the Brightside Ground in Bristol with something special to look back on when he flies back to Australia.
Opener Bancroft carried his bat for an unbeaten 204 as Gloucestershire's first innings finished on 385 all out.
But Bancroft praised Thornbury's Chris Dent to sit with him towards his first century at the start of the match and then said number 11 Matt Taylor, who batted out 106 balls for a career-best 36 was 'brilliant'.
Taylor and Bancroft shared a last wicket partnership of 111.
And the bowlers soon had Kent in trouble as the visitors finished the second day on 60-2.
Bancroft said: "It was great to mark my last game of the season with Gloucestershire in that fashion.
"It was the last thing on my mind at the start of the day, but how good was Matt Taylor? Holy cow! He was brilliant.
"We needed a big partnership and Matty showed some great guts and class out there. He batted beautifully.""
