Away at Cirencester, Stroud won the push back and attacked from the whistle.

With youth and speed on the right, Stroud soon won a short corner, which was defended very well by Cirencester.

After some super two-touch hockey by Stroud another short corner was won, and this time converted.

Stroud kept the pressure on and scored again from a short corner.

Cirencester started the second-half very strongly, attacked though the midfield and won a number of short corners.

Stroud’s defence fought hard but Cirencester continued to keep up the pressure and scored a well worked goal.

Stroud soon scored a breakaway goal , but Cirencester weren’t prepared to give up and soon scored.

Stroud rose to the challenge and finished the match with a great angled goal.

Captain, Chris Bargh opened the scoring with a rising strike into the net.

Slick passing and great movement by Dom Creech saw him put away two great goals past a debutant keeper, who managed to keep the scoreline to single figures as Stroud continued to press throughout the match.

Although this did leave Stroud with gaps at the back and Lansdown capitalised on this late in the first- half with their only goal of the game.

A change in the midfield by Stroud saw Henry Hudson on his debut, become the centre piece and after some skilful attacking play, was rewarded with two goals in quick succession.

Experienced left-midfielder Nigel Sherwood slotted home early in the second-half and Steve Batt squeezed one in at the near post to complete the rout.

Next week, Stroud travel to Marlborough in search of a third successive friendly victory.
