Hellenic Premier Division
Brimscombe 1
Highmoor Ibis 3
BRIMSCOMBE boss Sam Prior took to Twitter to apologise to fans after his side were well beaten, writes Liam Lines.
Highmoor Ibis opened the scoring though a Dwayne Coultress penalty with less than 15 minutes played. Moments later, the Lilywhites went two goals down after Sanchez Commack headed past Ashley Gale.
First-half substitute Sam Blackie reduced the deficit with twenty minutes left after Jack Smith’s effort was spilled. But any hope of a comeback was dashed as Kyle Pitts was sent off five minutes later.
Sam Bangura confirmed the victory for Highmoor Ibis with another penalty late on.
Prior tweeted: “Dreadful from us today. Got exactly what we deserved from an appalling game of football. Apologies to all that watched. Food for thought.”
Next match: Brimscombe v Longlevens, Tuesday, 7.45pm.
