FROCESTER’S Max Dunne has landed a top gong at the Gloucestershire Young Cricketers Presentation evening.
Dunne,12, who attends Beaudesert Park School, picked up the performance of the year accolade for Gloucestershire under-11s.
Team manager Olly Ralph said: “Away at local rivals Somerset, Max led by example, bowling with great consistency and control to leave the batsman without a clue as to what was happening. His five for 16 from eight overs helped bowl Somerset out for 87 in 24.2 overs and set up a thumping nine- wicket win.”
Trophies were awarded for the player of the year and individual performance of the year in every squad from the under 10s to the under 17s.
