MANNY MONTHE wants to play mind games.

Following a fractured cheekbone in training, the giant defender played 90 minutes in the Checkatrade Trophy defeat on Tuesday against Swansea City U21s. He started the match against Swansea in midfield, but an injury to Alex Iacovitti saw the former Bath City man drop back into defence.

With a doubt over Iacovitti, Montheis ready to step up to the plate for the visit of Macclesfield in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Monthe said: "I'm still learing my trade and football is full of ups and downs, but if I can work on my mentality a bit more, then I will be an exceptional player."
