It's been confirmed that Manny Monthe's red card against Chesterfield on Tuesday night has been upheld following an appeal by the club.
Monthe was shown a straight red card in the 49th minute of the game for a challenge on Joe Rowley, just three minutes after coming off the subs bench in a match Rovers lost 3-2.
The incident took place in front Cooper’s dugout and the Rovers boss was left dismayed by Robert Jones’ verdict.
“It was a horrendous decision,” he said.
“I knew there was going to be a problem before the game because a couple of my players said, ‘oh not him again.’
“We were 1-0 down and then we go down to 10 men."
He will now serve a three-game suspension starting with Saturday's home match against Cheltenham Town.
