THE annual Boxing Day game saw the players take to the field in memory of former player Chris Mills.

The game was played with great ambition and free flowing-rugby with the Blues taking the lead through Darren Peglar.

The Whites returned a score with a great driving maul finished off by Watt.

The game ebbed and flowed with numerous changes keeping fresh legs on the field.

The next score came from the evergreen Mills going over in the corner.

With the game evenly matched Port refreshment and more fresh legs were administered at half- time.

The Whites eventually took the lead, ably led by Carter, dabbing down followed by a much celebrated score by Gilks.

This awoke the Blues as free-flowing hands saw Voyce junior score on his debut followed by a typically boisterous run from Herbert, expertly converted by Stonebridge from an acute angle.

Spencer scored an excellent try, but the final word went to the returning Cooper, who fielded the ball and put his foot on the gas to breakthrough would-be tacklers to go in under the posts. The kick was expertly converted by Stonebridge.

Although the game produced no more scores, the Whites brought on Eddie Kearney for his annual 10-minute cameo.

A great day to remember one of the Cainscross RFC family.
