Minch 31

Bream 7

MINCHINHAMPTON ended the season on a winning high against third-placed Bream.

Minch scored first with a Will Pullen break and his known ability to slither out of most attempts to bring him down.

Fraser Smith set up Matty Austin for his first try of the season, gracefully gliding over the whitewash. All of this with no response from Bream.

The second-half saw Minch pack dominant. Sean Price, Chris Huggins and Ryan Pollard carried up the middle of the park with Charlie Richards showing dominance in contact ripping.

Ian Williams held strong in defence not allowing any of the opposition through. Oli Davis enjoyed a few runs breaking the gain-line. Jack Richards used a well-timed hard line to sneak through the defence for a bonus point to open the scores in the second-half.

Now down to 14 men, Minch conceded a try when a dummy was sold and a hole was opened up. Curtis Taylor made a brilliant try saving tackle preventing Bream from getting any closer in scoreline.

Super subs, Tom Goulding and Dave Maller came on with 15 minutes to go. Minch responded immediately and Dan Wood had almost immediate impact on the game running an incredible line for an inside ball crashed over the line for the final try. Oscar Adamson had a good day with his boot converting three of the five tries, missing out wide and a forced drop goal due to a wonky tee. Will Pullen got Man of the Match for his undeniable presence on the field.
