Stroud & District Division 6
Minchinhampton Reserves 1
Horsley United Reserves 0
ANOTHER win for Minchinhampton Reserves, with a tight one-nil win over a committed and experienced Horsley Reserves side.
A goal from the lively Jonathan Hoppner proved to be the winner.
Sam Wickham finished off a great team move to double the lead, but his celebrations were muted by an offside flag.
Ed Gosling forced a good save from the Horsley keeper in the second-half and Luke Halliday saw a dipping free-kick beat the keeper, but strike the bar.
Man-of-the-match was tight with Calum Moylan, Jonathan Hoppner and Ash Hands all in the mix, but Luke Halliday picked up the accolade with a busy performance.
