Negotiations have taken place to tie down Isaiah Osbourne to Forest Green.
Manager Mark Cooper has offered the combatative midfielder a new contract after the 30year-old former Aston Villa star played a significant part in keeping Rovers in League Two.
"We've offered Ozzy (Isaiah Osbourne) a good contract and we're just waiting on him to make a decision on that," revealed Cooper.
"I think if you speak to Ozzy, he says openly that he has not enjoyed his football as much as he has done here for a long time. That's a big thing and he has got to be happy."
With the majority of the squad signed on next season, Cooper is expected to say goodbye to Sam Russell, Keanu Marsh-Brown, Manny Monthe and Mark Roberts.
Cooper added: "We will put our retained list out next week and everyone will get to see who is staying and who is not, but there won't be many surprises
"We'll work our way through it over the next couple of days. Ozzy is the only one we've offered to so far, we haven't got that many that are in and around the first team that are out of contract."
