STROUD Hockey Club Ladies are holding free ‘Back to Hockey’ sessions at Stratford Park Leisure Centre.
The event kicks-off on Tuesday, July 3, 7pm - 8pm and runs until August 7.
There will be a qualified coach leading the session.
Stroud Hockey chair Victoria Sharpe said: “We are delighted to be involved in England Hockey’s ‘Back to Hockey’ initiative. "We have taken part in the scheme for the last two years and as a result Stroud Hockey Club has started a 3rd ladies’ team, many members came ‘Back to Hockey’ with us."
"Stroud Hockey Club welcomes players across a wide age range, many of whom were nervous about joining the club after a number of years without picking up a hockey stick. They were glad they took that first step and have never looked back."
Interested hockey returners will need to bring along a bottle of water, wear training shoes and loose clothing – the club will provide sticks and balls.
