Stroud and District Angling club’s latest match saw them at Hempsted. Tony Garot was victorious with 20lb 8oz of bream, all caught on the feeder with maggot on the hook.

Second place went to Rob Pass with 19lb of bream also caught on the feeder with maggot on the hook In third place was Andy Freeman 11lb 4oz.

Section A was won by Tony Cambridge with 4lb 4oz of skimmers caught on the feeder with bread on the hook. Andy Powell was second with 3lb 13 oz while Larry Cornock finished third with 2lb 9oz

The club will be at Hartelton at Upton Bishop for this weekend’s match with draw nine fish 10 to three.

Elsewhere, Association Phoenix Angling club have had two matches this week.

On Wednesday, September 5 they were at Windmill Fishery match lake in Westerleigh near Bristol.

Rich Powell won with 71lbs and 12oz while Phil Auger was runner up with 54lbs and 13oz. Dave Clinch came came third with 31lbs and 3oz.

They also had a match at Pixley Pools Fishery in Ledbury on Sunday, September 9. Auger was triumphant with 55lbs while Jason Powell came second with 116lbs and Ryan Brushneen was third with 88lbs 12oz.
