FOREST Green Rovers midfielder George Williams says the team mustn't grow frustrated with the run of draws.

The result at MK Dons was Forest Green's sixth draw in seven league games but Williams insists the players must remain upbeat and feels the their unbeaten run can continue for much longer.

"We can't get too frustrated about it," said Williams "When these wins do start coming, hopefully we'll go on a good run of winning games because I can't see us losing, we haven't got that losing feeling at the moment so as soon as we start getting these wins they'll keep coming.

"It's been the same story for a few games We're having all the possession and we're creating chances but we can't get the win at the moment."

Rovers reversed the roll at Stadium MK compared to previous draws this season. This time they fell behind when Robert Sanchez spilled the ball from a cross and Chuks Aneke finished but they levelled with 10 minutes to go thanks to Reuben Reid's goal from the penalty spot, Forest Green's first spot kick of the season.

Williams was full of support for Sanchez and was also pleased to have an impact in winning the penalty that help Rovers earn a deserved point.

"It was a mistake and Sanch knows it was a mistake but everyone makes mistakes in football and there's no point in Sanch beating himself up about it because that's not going to benefit the team," Williams explained.

"It was nice for us to get a penalty, I knew he was going to go to ground when I took my touch so I waited for the contact and I think it was a clear penalty.

"Once it left Reuben's foot I said to myself 'please don't go too high but it was perfect and no keeper's going to save that."

Williams was playing against his former club where he's had three spells and thoroughly enjoyed coming back to Stadium MK.

"This stadium is unbelievable," he said. "It's not a league two stadium. I'm sure this club will climb it's way back through the leagues but it was lovely to come here, the pitch was tremendous and it was a good atmosphere.

The 23-year-old has seven caps for Wales and kept an eye on his country's results during last week's international break and doesn't want to rule out a recall in the future.

"Anything can happen I guess," he said. "I just keep focusing on performing and doing the best I can so if I do get a call, I'd be delighted."

"I watched the first game, but I didn't watch the second one but they're playing some good football aren't they so it was good to see and nice for some young boys to come through."
