STROUD will be gunning for Swindon at Farmhill on Saturday.

Swindon crushed Paul Frape’s side in a nine-wicket defeat last Saturday in the Glos/Wilts Division, but Stroud now have the chance to exact revenge.

Nonetheless, they will have to improve on their frail batting as they were bowled out for just 134 from 48.2 overs.

Earlier, Stroud got off to a bright start with Keith Daniels making 39.

However, Mark Bryan was bowled by Wilson for 12 and Shortwood United footballer Luke Bennyworth followed for a duck.

Chris Job added 23, but was bowled by Asanka Vithange, who claimed four wickets. Meanwhile, Adam Gibbs failed to score. Leighton Collins was caught for four and Ali Bell was trapped leg before for 18. James Job went for eight and Frape was caught for one. The collapse continued with all-rounder Ben Morgan caught, leaving veteran Rich Cox on four not out.

Swindon comfortably chased down Stroud’s small total for the loss of one wicket as Morgan bowled Williamson. Stroud’s fifth defeat leaves them one place above the relegation places.
