TAVERNERS came from two down to win a seven-goal thriller.

For the second game in a row Taverners leaked two goals inside the opening 20 minutes.

Keith William opened the scoring in the opening minute and Luke Drew added a second. However, four minutes later Phil Hall lifted the ball over keeper Kaminski.

Tavs keeper Jer Ward then made a good save from 20 yards.

Eight minutes into the second half Hall worked a yard off space in the box before clinically finishing into the far corner to make it 2-2. The Nailsworth side nosed ahead when Fran King’s free- kick was headed by Craig Mills for Tom Hanley to turn in at the back post.

The visitors then rallied for a 15 minute spell and when Tavs failed to clear on the edge off their box, Brad Harris’ strike flew over Ward to pull them level However, Hall twice had great chances to put his side back in front but on both occasions he beat Kaminski but retreating defenders cleared, one with a clear suspicion off handball.

Tavs were not to be denied though when with five minutes to play Mills scored with a stunning volley from Hanley’s corner.
