FOREST Green’s pre-season clash against League Two Wycombe Wanderers on Wednesday, July 18 will offer under-16s the chance to watch David Hockaday’s side for free.

The match will be the first chance for home fans to see new strikers Omar Koroma, Magno Vieira, Ben Wright and Phil Marsh in action.

Fans can get their free Under-16 tickets for the game by ensuring they ‘like’ the FGR Facebook page and redeeming the offer on the site.

Rovers chairman Dale Vince said: “It’s going to be exciting to see the new players out there for the first time against Wycombe.

“There is already a sense of expectation about the place and there should be an excellent atmosphere against Wycombe.

“It’s always a great day out at the New Lawn, and we want to make it a little easier for families with this kids’ offer.”

Rovers also welcome Championship side Cardiff City to the New Lawn on Saturday, July 28. The game has been arranged due to the close friendship between Forest Green boss David Hockaday and Cardiff’s Malaky Mackay after their time together at Watford.

Four days before the Cardiff game, Rovers welcome Hockaday’s former side Swindon Town with Paolo di Canio League Two champions travelling the short distance to Nailsworth on Tuesday ,July 24, 7.45pm.

Hockaday’s side travel to Southern League outfit North Leigh and FA Trophy semi-finalists Wealdstone as part of the deals that brought Matty Taylor and Kieron Forbes to the New Lawn. The Gary Neville Allstar X1 clash will take place on Sunday, August 5, 3pm.
