BRIMSCOMBE moved five points clear at the top after another swashbuckling performance at the Meadow.

The trickery of Dave Woodfield was prominent early on and his cross found Ben Snook whose header rebounded off the crossbar. Woodstock hit back and Adam Thomas had to be alert to deny dangerman Bone.

However, Brimscombe took the lead minutes before the interval. Ben Prictor produced a quality free-kick into the Woodstock box and Lee Pritchard nodded in.

Woodstock were unlucky at the start of the second half when another effort from Bone clipped the woodwork and Thomas had to dive full-length to save a Murray Nicholls drive that looked on target for an equaliser.

In the 68th minute Woodfield arrived at pace and put in a great cross for that man Pritchard to fire in his 12th goal of the season. It was no surprise when the home side went further in front in extra-time thanks to substitute Ben Jones who made it 3-0 with a great solo effort.
