A FRENCH connection is at the heart of an exhibition of prints currently showing at the Sub Rooms.

The collection is the product of an exchange between two studios, separated by the Channel.

Works by the Centre de Gravure de Ceret, an artist led print studio in France, are being displayed alongside pieces by the Gloucestershire Printmaking Co-op (GPC). This art exchange started in Ceret in December 2013, when 25 artists from the GPC sent their prints over for a show. The collection has now returned to Stroud and is being exhibited with the work of the French printmakers.

Based at Griffin Mill in Thrupp, the Gloucestershire Printmakers Co-o has plans to make future print exchanges with studios in other places such as New York. The GPC studios have screen printing, etching, relief printing and stone litho facilities and a selection of weekend and evening classes are available Details via: www.gpchq.co.uk
