A CONTEMPORARY dance project inspired by the birds of Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust takes wing this weekend.
Called Without Measure, the dance examines the parallels between bird migration and the movement of people. Performances will take place at the WWT centre from Friday to Sunday, as the sun sets over the reserve, from 4pm. These have been timed to coincide with the return of the Bewick swans.
Modern dance choreographer Alex Howard, who lives near Stroud, developed Without Measure after studying the movement and behaviour of birds at the Slimbridge centre.
Alex is currently a visiting lecturer at the London Contemporary Dance School.
