MUSIC, beer and cricket come together for three fun filled days in Miserden.
The Miserden 8s Festival will pitch up on the village cricket ground this Friday, with a jam-packed weekend of entertainment, all in aid of Meningitis Now and The Wiggly Worm.
The first evening will feature performances by Bristol funk quartet, Errol's Kitchen, as well as DJs: Stroud Calling, Jagp, Fresh and Keylex.
Eight piece Gloucester reggae band King Solomon headline on the Saturday night, supported by indie/psychedelic rockers The Dustmites. There will also be sets from reggae DJs Frankie, ThreeBagsFull and Lozzy 2Bad and local dance party DJ Daisy, plus music throughout the day from The Stroud Gloucester Vinyl Collection.
Sunday sees the Bristol based rock/funk/progressive band Solar Furnace close the festival in noisy style, with music influenced by Porcupine Tree, Ozric Tentacles, Pink Floyd and Rush.
A variety of real ales and ciders will be available throughout the weekend, courtesy of the Crown Inn at Frampton Mansell, while The Little Green Wiggley Machine and the Rolling Box Company will be serving up a selection of world street food and home-made ice-cream.
A fast cricket tournament will run from 9am to 6.30pm every day too, and free camping will be available on the grounds.
