Hi Ian

I'm very sorry, I have only just found this message from you.

Thankyou so much for your kind words.

I know dad really enjoyed working with you and was always telling me about the projects he was working on. He always said the commute never bothered him as he really enjoyed the job.

He loved the Cyprus event just as much as the Cape Wrath week! You never knew where he would be each weekend due to the amount of races he ran!

Thankyou again.

Steve

Gerards Son.

In recent years Gerard worked with me and my father David in our fabrication business in Birmingham. During that period he clocked up many miles travelling daily on the M5 from Stroud, to project manage some challenging jobs around the country. We worked hard together and enjoyed lots of banter regarding the merits of Warwickshire and Gloucestershire cricket. Gerard was a fit man and a picture of him adorns our office wall at the finishing line in Cyprus after finishing yet another running event.
I, and all of his former work colleagues, are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Gerard and we send our condolences to Thomas, Steven, and family.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Gerard. I started work as an apprentice at Redler Conveyors with him back in 1971 and remember him well. My condolences to all the family.
