HENDY Peter Of Bisley Former teacher at Marling School Died peacefully on 8th April 2021 aged 77 years. A much-loved husband, father and friend to many. Due to current circumstances a private funeral service will be held. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to The British Heart Foundation may be sent to Michael Gamble Funeral Directors, Station House, Station Road, Stroud GL5 3AR or online at michaelgamble.net.

Mr Hendy as my Middle School Master in the office at the end of the Long Corridor, or APH on my school report; I will never forget his influence on me. He also started me running when I was 15, almost 40 years later and a heart attack from nowhere in 2020, I still run and am surviving what happened. Thank you Mr Hendy for how you taught me, and others. Always passionate about the subjects you taught me, and outside of school hours the running club, and the first few line dancing events in the school hall which were amusingly shambolic, but that's line dancing. You died young at 77. May you rest in peace.

Peter will be greatly missed, we have been joining in his country dancing festivals for many years and have missed joining in for the last 2 years.
We send our thoughts and prayers to his family. From all the children and teachers of Christ Church School Chalford.

My final year Tutor in 1974....I would not be where I am today without his guidance and wisdom. A good man :-)
