THE STH0UD DISTRICT COUNCIL (COTSWOLD CANALS CONNECTED] [PHASE 1B: OCEAN STONEHOUSE TO SAUL JUNCTION) COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER 2020 COMPULSORY PURCHASE OF LAND LOCATED BETWEEN SAUL JUNCTION AND THE OCEAN STONEHOUSE IN THE COUNTY OF GLOUCESTERSHIRE Notice is hereby given that Stroud District Council made on the 30th July 2020 The Stroud District Council (Cotswold Canals Connected) (Phase 1b : Ocean Storehouse To Saul Junction) Compulsory Purchase Order 2020 under section 226(1 )(a) and section 226(3)(a) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. It is about to submit this order to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government for confirmation, and if confirmed, the order will authorise Stroud District Council to purchase compulsorily the land described below for the purpose of facilitating the restoration and re-opening of 6 kilometres of the historic Stroudwater Navigation which will re-connect the Cotswold Canals to England's navigable waterways. A copy of the order and of the map referred to therein together with the statement of reasons for making the order has been made available online at

. Under normal circumstances a hard copy of the documents would be deposited at a publically accessible location for inspection. Due to the current ongoing situation in relation to COVID-19 and the current government guidelines the documents will be available online only. Any objection to the order must be made in writing to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government at the National Planning Casework Unit, 5 St Philip's Place, Colmore Row, Birmingham, B3 2PW before 11th September 2020 and should state the title of the order, the grounds of objection and the objector's address and interests in the land.
