SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) Gaston Lane (Part), Sherston; from its junction with Footpath 41, Sherston for a distance of approximately 40 metres in a westerly direction to enable Bristol Water to carry out remedial works in carriageway and associated works. Alternative route East bound only: via Church Street - Easton Town - Easton Square. This Order will come into operation on 15 June 2022 and the closure will be required for 3 days. B) Lydiard Green (Part), Lydiard Millicent; from its junction with The Butts to its junction with Bagbury Lane to enable Openreach to carry out for safe access to complete cabling works from multiple JRC's. Alternative route: via Lydiard Green (unaffected length) - Church Place - C34 - C414 and Lydiard Green (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 15 June 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 2 days. C) C15 (Part), Compton Bassett; from outside property known as no.2 Freeth Farm Cottage for a distance of approximately 1km in a southerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out an interim to permanent reinstatement. Alternative route via C15 (unaffected length) - A3102 - C394 - A4 - C15 (unaffected length) and vice versa. D) C151 (Part), North Wraxall; from its junction with A420 for a distance of approximately 100m in a south westerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out interim to permanent reinstatement and associated works. Alternative route via A420 -A350 - A4 - London Road East - Bannerdown Road - Fosse Way
- C151 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 14 June 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 for 2 days. E) C101 (Part), Minety; from outside property known as New House for a distance of approximately 460m in a north easterly direction to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out annual barrier maintenance and adjustments to the equipment and barrier arms. Alternative route via C101 (unaffected length) - C99 - C76 - C90

F) C74 (Part), Tidcombe and Fosbury; from its junction with Tunball Lane for a distance of approximately 360m in a south easterly direction to enable Openreach to test and Openreach pole as part of a safety programme and associated works. Alternative route via C74 (unaffected length) - A338 - C21 - A346 - A342 out of county and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 24 May 2022 and the closure will be required 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. For further information please contact Openreach on 0203 251 8214.

G) Poppy Close (Part), Calne; from its roundabout junction with Honeysuckle Close for a distance of approximately 50m in a northerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out replacement of a manhole cover. Alternative route via Honeysuckle Close, Poppy Close (Unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 24 May 2022 and the closure will be required for 2 days. H) Play Close (Part), Purton; from its junction with High Street to outside property known as Purton Methodist Church to enable Thames Water to carry out a b box exchange <33mm in carriageway. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 24 May 2022 and the closure will be required for 3 days. I) A342 East to Etchilhampton, Etchilhampton; from its junction with A342 to its junction with C60 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out works to stabilise and improve the roadside verges and associated works. Alternative route: via C60 - A342 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 23 May 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 17:00 until 27 May 2022. J) C1 (Northern Spur), Hullavington and Malmesbury St Paul Without; from its junction with A429 to its junction with C1 (Southern Spur) to enable Network Rail to carry out repairs to bridge structure and associated works. Alternative route via C1 - A429 and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 07 February 2022 will now recommence on 23 May 2022 and the closure will be required for 5 days. Orders A) to I) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Order J) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER No.1 2022 (Ref: TTRO 8015)

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. The Order is required to enable carriageway surface dressing and associated maintenance works and will be operative from the 06 June 2022 for a maximum period
of 18 months.

Where a road is to be closed on two separate dates this is to allow sufficient time between the surface dressing and sealing and lining works. The closures will not be implemented for the whole of the period and are anticipated to be for one to two days duration only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works.

It is anticipated that advance signs will be deployed 2 weeks prior to the closure dates. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.  Closure 1 is anticipated to take place between 6 June - 10 July 2021. Closures 2 and 3 are anticipated to take place between 11 July - 7 August 2022.

Schedule 1. Whittonditch Road, Ramsbury; from its junction with Union Street to its junction with B4192.
2. Rabley Road, Mildenhall; from its junction with Poulton Hill to its junction with Red Lane.
3. Red Lane (Part), Mildenhall; from its junction with Rabley Road to its junction with Bridleway 29, Mildenhall.

Alternative routes (vice versa) 1. Via B4192, Newtown, Scholards Lane, Oxford Street. 2. No alternative route is available.

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council in pursuance of the provisions of S14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to make an order the effect of which will be to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice.

The order is required to enable carriageway surface dressing and associated maintenance works and will be operative from the 6 June 2022 for a maximum period of eighteen months. Where a road is to be closed on two or more separate dates this is to allow sufficient time between the surface dressing and sealing and lining works.

The closures will not be implemented for the whole of the period and are anticipated to be for one to two days duration only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that advance signs will be deployed 2 weeks prior to the closure dates. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Notice of CONFIRMING of an Order Highways Act 1980 and Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981
The Wiltshire Council PARISH OF ROWDE PATH NOs. 2 AND 5 CREATION AND
DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2022


The above order was confirmed as made on 11th May 2022 under Section 26 of the Highways Act 1980, its affect is to create two public footpaths over land at Consciences Lane, Rowde.

One leading from OS Grid ref ST 9962 6268 east for approximately 235 metres then generally north for approximately 375 meteres to ST 9939 6303 with a width of 3 metres. Also another length of path leading from ST 9940 6304 leading broadly north north westerly for approximately 465 metres to ST 9918 6343 with a width of 2 metres.

The order will have the effect of modifying the Devizes Rural District Council Area definitive map dated 1952 accordingly.

The Wiltshire Council parish of ROWDE PATH NOs 2 AND 5 EXTINGUISHMENT AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2022


The above order was confirmed as made on 11th May 2022, under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980, its affect is to extinguish the entire width and length of two public right of ways, over land at Consciences Lane, Rowde. One leading from OS Grid ref ST 9964 6286 north westerly then broadly west to ST 9939 6285 for approximately 255 metres.

Also that entire width and length of public right of way leading from ST 9918 6343 broadly south easterly to ST 9957 6301 for approximately 585 metres. The order will also have the effect of modifying the Devizes Rural District Council Area definitive map dated 1952 accordingly.
