Paul is the activity and wellbeing coordinator at Mill House care home in Chipping Camden, one of several nominees involved there.

He has been nominated for going ‘the extra mile’ and not just focussing on residents of the home but their families too.

Paul said: “I am delighted that three of us from our wonderful care home have been nominated in the awards. We have an amazing team of staff and work hard to give our residents the highest possible levels of care dignity and wellbeing.

“We are all looking forward to the awards evening and representing all of our hardworking team.”

Julie Wood

Julie is another activities coordinator at Mill House care home.

She can be seen here organising a virtual cruise where she took residents around the world through taste, music and dance

The person nominating Julie said she goes out of her way to enusre ‘every resident has a touch of happiness brought into their day’.

Julie said: “I am totally thrilled to be nominated in the health care category at this year’s awards.

“As an activities coordinator I am rewarded everyday knowing that I have contributed to the wellbeing of our residents.

“My job is an absolute pleasure and long may it continue.”

Juliane Rasch

Juliane is employed by the Family Link Team at Gloucestershire County Council which offers short breaks to families of complex, life-limited children. As these services terminate at the age of 18 she has gone on to work as a Personal Assistant to her young people who have transitioned into adult services.

Multiple people who she has helped have nominated her for an award.

One said: “She has supported our family through many crises and is always a calming influence. She always gives up more of her time than she should.

“She is simply the most amazing lady you could ever hope to meet.”
