DIDMARTON Bluegrass Festival is celebrating its 30 year anniversary, when it returns later this month.

The Festival, which runs from Friday, August 31 to Sunday, September 2, is one of the UK’s premier Bluegrass, Americana and old-time music events.

Held every summer at Cotswold Airport, Kemble, the packed programme will include international artists and the best of home-grown talent.

This year’s line-up includes Valerie Smith with Liberty Pike, Rachel Eddy and Corn Potato String Band all from the States, G-Runs ’n Roses from CZ and Ben Somers String Band from Uk and France.

Also playing will be Flats & Sharps, Midnight Skyracer, New Essex Bluegrass Band, The Down County Boys and many more.

The marquee will offer a varied programme with an ‘Open Mic’ Stage in the OGRI Clubhouse for new or inexperienced performers.

A traders market, instrument workshops, dancing, a Sunday open gospel session, scrumpy cider and ale, army style catering, camping and a late night bonfire will add to the atmosphere.

Bring out your banjo’s, fiddles, mandolins, double bases and guitars, and join in the fun.

The Didmarton Bluegrass Festival runs from August 31-September 2 at Cotswold Airport, Kemble.
