THE Phoenix Festival in Cirencester is going all out to be 'simply the best' this year, with the annoucement that Totally Tina will close the weekend on Sunday, August 25.

The longest running tribute to the Queen of rock, Totally Tina has promised a Vegas-style show with a mix of nostalgia and surprise, featuring the hits and her best loved covers.

Jumping Jack Flash, Honky Tonk Woman, Get Back, It’s Only Rock and Roll and The Bitch is Back have been added to a set which includes classics such as Proud Mary, Nutbush City Limits, Private Dancer and everybody’s favourite “Simply the Best”, released 30 years ago.

The Phoenix Festival in Cirencester's Abbey Grounds has gone from strength to strength, and remains a youth and community led free annual festival, offering two days of music, dance and family fun in the heart of the town.

A spokesman for Totally Tina said: “2019 is the 30th Anniversary of the release of Tina’s iconic hit, “The Best”, so we are particularly thrilled to be special guests at this years’ Phoenix Festival and can't wait to see everyone singing, dancing and shaking a tail feather with us.

"We promise a passionate and pulsating show that will send you home buzzing. We hope you agree that Totally Tina is “simply the best.”

Glen Moreman, Festival Manager said “We are very excited to welcome Totally Tina to top this year’s Sunday line up. It’s going to be a real heart thumping, passionate performance that will have you totally transfixed."

Festival organisers will announce other special guests in the coming weeks.
