A DESPERATE dog owner is appealing for help from SNJ readers after her pooch went missing last week.

Betty - a nine-month-old ginger cocker spaniel - went missing from Lower Milton End Farm in Arlingham around midday on Sunday, March 3.

Kate Throup and her partner Adam Turner have spent hours scouring the area for their missing pet, posting fliers and diligently checking animal shelters and local vets.

They have also been using social networking sites Facebook and Twitter in a bid to find their dog.

"It is so strange because she just vanished," said Kate.

"We have searched everywhere we can think of but I have this horrible feeling that she has been stolen.

"It is really upsetting and we just want her back."

The farm, owned by Adam's parents, is just off Arlingham Road and Kate said there is access to drive through the farm and public footpaths nearby.

Betty has a white stripe from her head to her nose and a white front and there are two small white patches on her back.
