A NEW chapter started at Stroud Valley Community School with the official opening of a new library.
Stroud District Council awarded the school in Castle Street £800 to buy new books and decorate the library and Stroud mayor Amanda Moriarty opened the new reading room.
Karen Golding, who teaches Year 1/2 and also runs the library and book club, said: "We have created a lovely peaceful place where the children can go and read quietly and really enjoy the new books we have at the school."
