HARRY Potter star Michael Gambon has been spotted in the picturesque town of Northleach as filming begins for JK Rowling's new book The Casual Vacancy.
Northleach Market Place has been transformed into the imaginary village of Pagford this week as filming takes place.
The show is set to be adapted into three one-hour episodes, and the market place will be featured prominently.
Michael Gambon, who played Dumbledore in the popular Harry Potter films, has been spotted around the town in his pyjamas.
He is playing the character Howard Mollison, who is leader of the Parish Council and the owner of a delicatessen.
The Casual Vacancy novel, released in 2012, is set in Pagford and begins with the death of a beloved parish councillor.
A seat on the council is vacant and a conflict ensues before the election for his successor takes place.
