A CAR driven by an elderly lady smashed into railings in Nailsworth this morning.
The dark green VW Polo collided with the metal railings near Cossack Square on the Corner of Old Market and Market Street at 9.20am.
Police said the driver, a female pensioner, was not injured in the minor crash.
No other cars were involved and no one was injured.
The Volkswagen suffered damage to the front end, bumper and headlights.
Highways have been contacted about the damaged railings, which have been cordoned off by police.
