PHOTOGRAPHER for the Stroud News & Journal Paul Nicholls snapped these shots of Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr on the red carpet for a new documentary film about Beatlemania.

The Beatles: Eight Days A Week – The Touring Years, directed by Academy Award-winner Ron Howard, enjoyed its star-studded premiere in Leicester Square, London, on Thursday, September 15.

Beatle widows Yoko Ono Lennon and Olivia Harrison also feature in the film which follows the legendary Liverpudlian group between 1962-1966 as they toured the world earning the adulation of millions of people.

The new release has an approval rating of 96 per cent based on 57 viewings on the film review website, Rotten Tomatoes.

Peter Bradshaw, the Guardian newspaper's esteemed film critic, called the documentary ‘intensely enjoyable’.
