FROM the tributes which poured in after the death of 29-year-old Pete Morris from Randwick it is clear that the much-loved artist lived life to the full.

Friends and family will mourn his loss today at his funeral but they will also celebrate his gift of life.

The skilled artist was committed to his family and had a deep connection with wildlife and nature, bounding up Mt Snowden as a four-year-old and rescuing turtles in Guatemala on a year out before going to university.

He also loved to search out the company of dolphins, animals famous for the special bond they have been known to create with humans.

While some of those who knew Pete will seek time out to deal with the sadness of his passing, others like his friend Sasha Davis are coping with their grief by raising money for a memorial bench in his name.

When someone dies in such an unexpected way, the grief can be overwhelming and there are many questions for which there are no simple answers.

Everyone at the SNJ would like to send our heartfelt condolences to Pete’s friends and family, particularly his parents Andy and Wendy and sisters Bekki and Abbie.
