A 58-YEAR-OLD woman walking her dog on Rodborough Common was assaulted after she hung a dog bag on a tree intending to collect it on her way back.

The offender, a woman dressed in black jogging bottoms, followed the dog-walker poking her in her back and shouting at her at around 9.45am on Tuesday, September 13.

In an attempt to get away the victim made her way to a parking area but the attacker then pushed and punched her, causing the victim to fall over leaving her with minor injuries.

The offender is described as white, around 5ft 5in, of a heavy build and was wearing black jogging bottoms and a gold and black t-shirt.

Other members of the public were in the car park at the time and may have witnessed the incident. Police are urging them to come forward. Call 101 quoting incident 180 of 13 September.
