HEXAGON Theatre Company is touring a double bill of one act plays in Stroud District this week.

The troupe will be performing Now Then Prime Minister, which comprises of two comedies, each tackling some of the tricky issues facing prime ministers in the past, present and future.

The show opens with Olivier Award winning comedy Handbagged, which centres on imagined conversations between Her Majesty The Queen and Margaret Thatcher during the 11 years she was prime minister.

The second part of the programme features David Greig’s acclaimed political comedy, Letter of Last Resort.

It opens with a new prime minister working late at her desk on the night after the general election when she is interrupted by a civil servant.

A letter needs to be written instructing the Trident submarine commander to retaliate, or not, should Britain by obliterated by a nuclear attack.

All performances begin at 7.30pm.
