Pupils and staff at Thrupp Primary School in Stroud held a #ShowYourSeams dress down day in aid of charity.

Money raised went to DEBRA, which supports individuals and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa, a painful genetic skin blistering condition.

Pupils and teachers turned their clothes inside out for the day on Monday, December 4.

Children living with EB have to protect their delicate skin from simple things like the seams or labels on their clothes and sometimes even have to turn them inside out.

Head teacher June Pritchard said: “Our School Council chose to support DEBRA because a pupil at the school suffers from EB, so we understand first-hand how debilitating this little-known disease can be.

Even in its mildest forms EB causes serious blistering on the hands and feet.

Blisters and sores have to be lanced and dressed daily – a painful procedure, often taking hours.
