AN entrepreneur from Stroud has been specially selected for a competitive learning programme and a £10,000 grant.
Viki Lee, who is manager of Stroud District Kids’ Stuff, was selected from more than 330 people who applied for the Community Business Trade Up Programme.
The programme supports people improving their local community through trade.
Along with the grant this will support Viki to grow Kids’ Stuff, which provides the most vulnerable children in the district with the basic items needed to thrive through professional referrals and community sales.
Viki will soon begin a six-month learning programme at the School for Social Entrepreneurs, which supports people starting up and running social enterprises, charities, community business and environmental projects.
Kids’ Stuff will also receive a grant of £10,000, with funding provided by Power to Change.
Viki was absolutely delighted to be accepted onto the programme.
“The £10,000 grant will help me grow Kids’ Stuff so I can support more people in the Stroud District in 2018,” said Viki.
