THE DIVERSE Select Festival and its accompanying trail has reached the Five Valleys for its most successful year yet.

So far it has been a massive triumph with around 550 people arriving at the Museum in the Park by mid day on Saturday.

The trail showcases the work of 100 talented artists, doubling last year's number.

Emma Neuberg, curator of the trail, said:"I've always had a love of art. I've been in the industry for 25 years and what drives me is my passion for teaching."

She runs a studio in London, The Textile Hub, and is often visited by previous pupils who she has taught over decades.

In fact her own exhibition, My Nature, was run in collaboration with her former pupils Marianne Lynch and Pauline Duma.

Both Marianne and Pauline also contributed to the eclectic range of artistic styles on show.

This was part of this year's trail, Making Places, which aims to bring a diverse range of artists together from Stroud, and further afield from places such as France, Taiwan, Thailand and more.

Additionally, the theme aims to show how the merging of cultures will have an influence on design.

This year Emma hopes the festival will shed a bright light on all the artists both locally and internationally, while promoting each their individual work.
