This is to allow for resurfacing works by Gloucestershire County Council (GCC) and is the third stretch of the road to be closed in the last two months.

The latest roadworks will begin the day after a stretch of the A46 from Pitchcombe through Painswick village, closed overnight from August 6 to 22, reopens.

Stroud to Pitchcombe resurfacing works were completed in June as part of GCC’s £150 million investment into the county’s highways.
