SOME of Stroud's most famous DJ faces will be launching the first of a new club night called 'Midlife Crisis' at the Marshall Rooms this Saturday, August 11.

The night's tongue-in-cheek name reflects the older audience, as many of those on the decks, and expected on the dance floor, are now in their 40s and 50s.

The DJs told the SNJ: "We came up with the name Midlife Crisis due to the fact we're all in our 40s and 50s and there is a real niche in the club scene for lets say... the more discerning, mature or 'well-seasoned' clubber."

"Between us all we have over 100 years of DJ experience - terrifying - which will be reflected in our broad knowledge of dance tunes..

"We'll mainly be playing Eighties and Nineties house music with a healthy dose of breaks to keep things funky."

Midlife Crisis, 9pm Sat, Aug 11 to 3am Sun, Aug 12, the Marshall Rooms, 27a Nelson Street, Stroud.
