A PAINSWICK gallery and museum that hosts an impressive array of arts and crafts is looking for a volunteer steward.

This comes after the much-loved building was re-opened five years ago by John Ashton Beer who has taken advantage of the unique property to incorporate work by William Morris work and Charles Robert Ashbee.

The museum has been described as an 'exceptional collection' of pieces from arts and crafts designers of both the 18th and 19th centuries.

However, due to lack of staff the gallery has limited opening hours and John is keen to extend these times.

"The museum is a potentially great asset for Painswick," he said.

Visitors can find the museum at the Christ Church, in Gloucester Street, Painswick.

If you would like to volunteer as a steward you can call John on 078289 30050 or email him at ashtonbeercollection@gmail.com
