THOUSANDS of visitors were rewarded with some of the very best flowers and vegetables in class at the annual Bisley flower show and fete.

First held in 1863 the show takes place each year in the vibrant Cotswold village.

A marquee in the centre of the village hosts over 500 exhibits from Bisley and the surrounding villages.

Additionally a whole host of fun family activities are held outside the big tent as part of a traditional fete.

Luckily the weather proved to be the best of the August bank holiday weekend as the famous 'knobbly knees' competition and other fun family activities took place throughout the afternoon around the marquee.

Families and friends from Bisley and the surrounding areas also enjoyed a range of stalls, music and a grand raffle.

All profits from the event will go towards the upkeep of All Saints’ Church in Bisley.

Photographer Simon Pizzey was there to capture the event.
