OUR readers will be familiar with some of the incredible pictures on display at an exhibition in Gloucester as the photographer behind the show also works for this paper.
Multi-award winning freelance photographer Paul Nicholls has been working internationally, and locally, for over 30 years and some of his spectacular work will be on show at the Museum of Gloucester from Saturday October 13 until March 8, 2019.
Paul, who still regularly contributes to this paper as well as national and international press, has photographed every Prime Minister since Margaret Thatcher, every member of the royal family, as well as celebrities including Harrison Ford, Robert De Niro, Tom Hanks, Brad Pitt, Al Pacino.
His event photographs of Gloucester Rugby, Cheltenham Horse Racing, Gloucestershire County Cricket, Gatcombe and Badminton Horse Trials, Bristol Balloon Fiesta and the International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford are a popular sight for our readers.
Also included in the exhibition will be Paul's photographs from when he accompanied The Rifles to Belfast, Ireland, and peacekeeping in Kosovo.
The exhibition will offer a fantastic opportunity to see one of the best-loved press photographers and his extraordinary photographs up close - although many of which our readers will have previously seen his work in The Standard, the SNJ and The Gazette.
His work can also be seen in The Times, Guardian, Mirror, Sun, Telegraph, Paris Match, TIME Magazine, Mail Online and the New York Post.
