A 34 year old Stroud man who admitted having hard drugs with intent to supply, will be sentenced next Wednesday, a Gloucester judge ruled last week.
On Friday Everel Douglas, of Margaret Hills Road, Stroud, admitted possessing both heroin and cocaine, class A drugs, with intent to supply on September 13 this year.
Douglas had asked to be sentenced on the day at Gloucester crown court, when he appeared via live link from Hewell prison, where he is held on remand.
The judge told Douglas that as custody was inevitable for such a serious offence, he would not be asking probation to prepare a report about him.
However the judge told Douglas: “The most important thing is you will be given significant credit for your guilty plea, you will get lesser sentence than if you had a trial.”
The case was adjourned until Wednesday, October 17, so that Douglas could be present for sentencing.
