Avon and Somerset Police have appealed for information after a woman was left injured by a dog on Westerleigh Common, Yate.
The lady was left with broken bones after being knocked over by a Staffordshire Bull Terrier on the common whilst walking her own dog at about 10:30am on Thursday, October 11.
Police are now looking for the owner, who left the scene without giving his details.
There was a description included in the appeal, which said: "We are keen to speak with the man, or anyone who can help us identify him.
"He was white, in his 20's and had two dogs with him - the Staffie, which was brindled brown with a studded leather collar and a brown 'labrador-sized' dog.
