POLICE OFFICERS in Stroud are appealing for witnesses to a burglary which took place in the High Street overnight.

It is believed that offenders entered Blooms Hearing Centre at some point between 5pm on Wednesday, October 17 and 8.30am today before they left with a money safe and a charity collection box.

A member of staff at the hearing centre said: "I arrived at work at about 9.10am this morning and the front door was smashed in, there was glass all over the floor.

"They got away with some charity money, but police have since taken fingerprints."
