Residents were shocked to discover a car on its roof in a quiet residential side street in Cirencester today.
Police were called to a report of a car on its roof on Chester Street, at 9.45am this morning.
An ambulance was also called to attend after the driver was found to have minor injuries.
The driver is believed to have been taken to Swindon’s Great Western Hospital for treatment.
Details as to how the car ended up on its roof are currently unknown but witnesses at the scene believe that it may have been down to a tricky manoeuvre.
“Someone said that a guy pulled into a space to let another driver through,” a resident of Chester Street said.
“But instead of pulling back out into the road to carry on, he accidentally reversed over the car behind him.”
A recovery vehicle is understood to have been called to clear the scene.
